Our Journey

2006

Foundation of FSI Group

FSI was founded as a U.S.-registered Commodity Trading Advisor (CTA) under the name Forex Signs, Inc., regulated by the CFTC and NFA. From its inception, the firm focused on systematic trading in currencies and precious metals, establishing a culture rooted in disciplined risk management, quantitative research, and regulatory transparency.

2008

Expansion Into Asia

The firm opened a representative office in Beijing to support high-net-worth and institutional clients in Asia, extending FSI's global reach and strengthening regional client coverage.

2011

Launch of Fund-Management Operations

FSI launched its registered fund under the name Forex Signs International Capital Partners, LP and became a registered CPO, enabling the use of pooled investment vehicles and multi-strategy allocation structures. This marked the beginning of the firm's formal fund-management operations, supported by risk-controlled, systematic frameworks.

2013

Partnership With PSS Trustee Company (PSS)

FSI partnered with PSS, a European full-service brokerage offering FX, CFDs, equities, commodities, and crypto access with integrated prime brokerage and clearing. FSI served as a liquidity and strategy provider, embedding its models within a regulated European execution environment and expanding its institutional footprint globally.

2015

Launch of MetisEtrade and Technology Division Expansion

FSI expanded into financial technology under the MetisEtrade brand and formally changed its name from Forex Signs, Inc. to MetisEtrade FSI, Inc. The firm transitioned into an institutional trading-infrastructure provider, offering liquidity aggregation solutions for brokers and financial institutions.

2019

Establishment of Athena Technology

FSI launched Athena Technology to support institutional partners with liquidity infrastructure, execution systems, CRM and back-office workflows, compliance and onboarding pipelines, and technical development for broker-dealer expansion. This positioned FSI as both an investment manager and a technology solutions provider.

2023

Introduction of FSI Prime

FSI Prime extended the firm's capabilities into institutional liquidity services, offering deep liquidity across Forex, Metals, Indices, and CFDs with ultra-low latency execution, optimized routing, and institutional analytics. This strengthened the group's execution oversight and operational governance frameworks.

2025

Formation of FSI Lab

FSI Lab was formally established as the group's quantitative engineering and innovation division. Its mandate includes advanced strategy development, AI-enhanced modeling, end-to-end algorithmic engineering, latency and slippage monitoring, and real-time analytics design.
